ZAGREB IS OUT OF TUNE is an outdoor escape-room-style game with puzzles assisted by a mobile app. The game is played by walking around Zagreb city center and solving puzzles.
You will be transported to the past to the early 20th century. You will come across intriguing historical figures who lived in Zagreb at the time, and together you will conquer a wacky assignment put before you and save the city. Although the story is a figment of our imagination, the characters in it are real, and the locations you will visit were actual parts of their lives.
You can play the game solo or in a group. We recommend a maximum of 5 players in the group, but it is possible to play in a bigger team as well.
You can play the game whenever you want, but we recommend playing during daylight hours for better visibility of your surrounding space.
We believe the game to be a wonderful family activity, but smaller children will need help in walking in the city and solving puzzles. Older children, age 14+, who normally walk around the city by themselves can play the game without adult supervision, but if they are not experienced in escape rooms or other puzzle games, the puzzles could be a bit too challenging.
The game usually takes up to 2 hours. The walking distance from the first to the last location is 2 km, which takes around 25 min of walking time.
No! You can stop the game whenever you want, take a break, and finish it later or any other day. The app will save your game progress.
You will need a charged phone and a small amount of mobile data.
Yes! All of you don't have to crowd around one screen, you can install the app and run the game on multiple phones. The app will automatically record your shared progress in the game.

Don't worry, there are no complicated game rules that you're supposed to learn. We will send the few instructions on starting the game in an email after purchasing the game, and you can read a short HOW TO PLAY section in the app.
Each puzzle has hints you can use if needed. If you want to skip a puzzle, that's also possible.
Of course! Our game is designed to be challenging enough for more experienced puzzle game enthusiasts, but we made sure to bring enough signposting and a hint system to help beginners in the genre. We tested the game with both types of players, and we're happy to say that they enjoyed the game.
